Seriously, sounds like Apple got most of its films back, and after their experience and sales on Yellow Submarine, may be going for the whole package.
Help! reverted to Apple, but does Miramax still have a stranglehold on Hard Day's Night?

He says that second disc will be filled with the film's outtakes.

(It would be, um, interesting to see what they considered unfit for the film. )

A Hard Day's Night already came out on bd in Canada, but that bd is now OOP and selling for a fortune. Even being 1080i it's better than no release at all.
Also, there must be a legal reason it went OOP; anyone know?

I love the Beatles. That being said, this isn't my favorite of the Beatle movies, but I'll still buy it ... eventually.

Really? Hard Day's Night is OOP?!

At one time it was a $7.99 bargain bin title. Even at 1080i it blows the DVD away, I'm sure 1080p would be an even bigger improvement but the Alliance blu-ray was a welcome upgrade. The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio is the biggest reason to own it, IMO.

EDIT:

Future Shop has 15 in stock for $19.99 online. Getting rid of remaining stock maybe?

Hopefully they'll be able to work with Apple this time, and be able to use the master tapes of the songs, and also give us the mono mix.

Anyway, two Beatles releases within 6 months of each other?!?! Color me shocked, instant pre-order!!!

I remember when this was on the telly, Christmas 1967 (UK) & my dad saying, what's this load of old rubbish, anything on the other side? I had the EP (with booklet) for years. You Americans had an LP with a lot great singles added & that's the CD we have now. As for the film, well I'd say it's of historical only, but what a great album.
