Default Help: Where to post bad eBay buyers/sellers when dealing with steelbooks?

Hi,

Recently I was scammed by a buyer on Ebay to whom I sold 2 Indiana Jones and 1 Ironman.

The buyer claimed he never received the package whereas I sent all 3 steelbooks in 1 package.

Click spoiler for the whole story:
[Show spoiler]
Canada Post cannot open an investigation until 45 days have passed after initially mailing the package.
I couldn't send it by XpressPost since the cost was too high and I could have sent it by In'l Parcel surface but it takes 4-6 weeks.
The only feasible option for me was to send it by Small packet Air which had no tracking but took 6-10 business days so that the buyer received his steelbooks in a timely fashion.

Apparently, when the buyer received this parcel he easily checked online to show if any tracking information was available
Since there wasn't he put in a claim and as of today (barely 10-15 bus. day after the transaction) PayPal has reversed the funds.
Now my only way is to get Canada Post to carry out an investigation but they won't do that until 45 days after the item was mailed out. So I can't do anything until Mid July (item was shipped out around June 6th)

Since 45 days is too long for PayPal, the funds I received have been sent back to the seller and apparently he has already sold those steelbooks on ebay.de for a handsome amount. (Using his account and his secondary account)

The user ebay user ID that bought from me:

http://myworld.ebay.de/shorty-100608/

Links to his listings:

http://cgi.ebay.de/IRON-MAN-CA-STEEL...item1e5ca1162b

http://cgi.ebay.de/INDIANA-JONES-STE...item20b1b7273c

http://cgi.ebay.de/INDIANA-JONES-STEELBOOK-Blu-ray-RAR-NEU-OVP_W0QQitemZ130403077775QQcategoryZ156710QQcmdZVi ewItemQQ_trksidZp3286.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26i tu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D 7470979036759018918
(this last listing was updated as I found that he is selling all 3 sealed mint copies-just like mine were)
I first thought he'd be smart enough to open at least one or keep them.

Now I know that you're saying to yourself that the seller ID's are different but the Paypal email address from which I received the payment initially was:

pecotec-store@gmx.de

As you can see he uses his small account (shorty-100XXX) to scam sellers and then sells on eBay using his high rated account (pecotec)

So basically I'm left with nothing and this guy has walked away with 2 Indy 4's and 1 Ironman steelbook AND he has sold them on ebay.de for FURTHER profit.

So please let me know if there is a list of sellers/buyers that we can post so that in the future other blu-ray.com members don't go through what I did.

Also please ship with tracking number for any parcel and if it costs more for tracking number ~$60-80 to ship from Canada to Germany then let the buyer/trader know of what the charges are. Because you could be left with a claim on PayPal and ITS WHAT YOU CAN PROVE TO PAYPAL AND NOT THE TRADER that matters.

Sorry for the long message.
Hope this helps send a timely reminder to everyone that please don't ship without a tracking number.
And if the other person thinks you're crazy about shipping with such high cost then let him know that you are just making sure that nothing goes wrong.

The Blacklist:

The above 2 user ID's are using the same PayPal email address and shipping address to funnel funds back and forth. His name is Enrico F.
  • cosmic_crasher (reported by vikingsmudge)
  • e-pyrate1980 (reported by vikingsmudge who was sent an empty box instead of a JR uncut steelbook)
  • McWaldi (reported by kaliraver who received a severely dented I.Jones 4 steelbook. User is active on blu-ray.disc.de)
  • waynehatt (reported by apsmith21 and xradman for scamming practices on ebay)
  • swallahjaxx (as reported by jw. Tried to scam for multiple steelbooks)
  • celebritymodels (as reported by mikey for trying to make false claims on steelbooks)
  • camaro9798 (as reported by jw)
  • 317.er (as reported by Mikey and jw for scamming practices on eBay)

The purpose of this list is to protect members on this forum while trading with those on the black list.
Please exercise caution when trading with these individuals. (ask or provide a tracking number, use reputable credit card for protection etc.)

In the case that you want to contact eBay urgently about a transaction on eBay use the following method which is the best one imo

How to Contact eBay directly via your phone:

1. Go to ebay.com/.ca
2. Click on "Contact Us" in the top right corner
3. Type in "activate" next to the "Ask" button and hit enter
4. Click "Call us"
5. You will get a Telephone number along with a 15 minute time limited code that you will enter once you dial the number that you are provided.

6. Once connected you will be able to talk one-on-one with a customer representative and address your concerns.

How to contact eBay via Live Help:

The Live help button is no longer visible on the front main page of ebay websites.

So please don't think that Live help has been removed.
Its still there but just not that visible.
Click the link below to take you to the page.

1. eBay Live Help

Keep in mind the wait times can be very long (up to 20-30 minutes after which they might direct you to method 1 i.e. ask you to call the number I have listed in the phone method)

Thanks and hope this helps.

yes they can take money from your account at any time at their discretion (I don't transfer money to my bank account until the transaction is over and both parties are happy and have left feedback for each other)

So please steer clear of this person.

What a bad guy! You can still try to prove that he's guilty at ebay, right?

Try to go against a top rated seller with a small account like mine is a tough ask.

I'll still try to get my money back since I'm getting canada post to further investigate my package.
But I must wait 45 days.
I'm told by PayPal that if the online tracking shows that the item is delivered I can get my money back so I need CP's help if I'm ever to see my money again.

Also here is the link to the sellers "me" or mich page that is open for viewing to any eBay members.

http://members.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI....=pecotec-dvd24

It matches the exact postal address to which I sent the parcel too including the person's name.

You might need to sign in to ebay.de to see this.

You sell stuff on ebay.de? Why not just sell it on ebay.com?

Hm. If you have all this information could you not just send it to PayPal and have them investigate it and look further into the seller's dealings? Because if you asked me, with all that information that you have right now it seems like you would have a solid case.

Good luck and hopefully you get your money back, Steelies and that seller's account banned.

Can't ebay see that he bought the steels from you and then he sold them still on ebay? Why would one buy on ebay to resell the same steels right after?

The scammer does, I'm sure bigjee is using eBay.ca like all us Cannucks do.

Damn that's a really sad story bigjee, I would be so mad if this has happened to me, I'm glad I sold most of my HTF steelbooks... I feel your pain, I hate the way eBay works but I still use it.

I have won and lost battles with Canada Post and I ensure you it's pretty hard to prove that a $30.00 steelbook worth that much on the secondary market.

Thanks for letting us know about this douche bag.

Cheers,
Gui.

Because he saw that the package came without a tracking number.

Our very trusting seller in this case, cannot prove delivery. Paypal's policy is that if you can't prove delivery, then it never arrived.

Way to make a lot of $$ really quick.

this is so typical of people in this market.

lucky all my buyers have been good dudes and it isn't a hell of a lot more cash to get tracking numbers and registered post in Australia.

Imagine this:

you pay $5 through Paypal.
File claim of item not received.
Get $5 back and then sell the item for $10.

total profit:
$10

Also there is no way I can prove its my steelbook unless they have a serial number of some kind which they don't.

Wouldn't the IP addresses of Account A and Account B match?

Surely e-bay can determine that....

From one seller to another:
even if you have pissed of buyers at such high shipping costs : do not ship them without a tracking number.
Because at the end of the day you could be left with nothing.

I'm just so pissed at myself for going ahead with this transaction.
I didn't see it coming at all.

I'm working on that but at the most they'll just close his small account or suspend it for a small period of time.
Also he can argue that family members are using another account but living under the same roof.
Top-rated seller my a**.
Top rated con artist would be more like it.

I was talking on ebay's side. Can't they see on the scammer account that he bought the same items from ebay.ca and then sold them on ebay.de? Plus, ebay can see with paypal that paypal took bigjee's money right?

If this helps, this is the buyer ID

http://myworld.ebay.de/shorty-100608/

Maybe you can share your paypal or e-bay case ID with bigjee - if a history of scamming by this user can be proven, it might help...
