Default WWE-Undertaker:The Streak -July 24th pre-order

Undertaker: The Streak Blu-ray

WWE Planning Undertaker:The Streak Blu-Ray Release

It was also confirmed in a update that it WILL indeed be a 3-Disc Blu-Ray Release.

I collect all the Non-PPV DVD & Blu-Ray releases so I will be picking this up,and I'm hoping it has extras on it with some of the setups/builds to the Mania matches particularly the stuff setting up vs Kane I & II,vs Shawn Michaels I & II,and vs Triple H II & III,along with some stuff like Undertaker turning babyface on the Funeral Parlor setting up his 2nd Mania match vs Jake Roberts,Orton picking him to go after to solidify the "Legend Killer" moniker in the 13th Mania Match, the Rumble win and suspense who Taker would chose that lead to his 15th Mania match vs Batista,MAYBE the stuff leading to his 4th Mania Match vs King Kong Bundy with the entire Million Dollar Corporation feud that lasted from July 94 with Dibiase bringing the "Underfaker" and continued to about May 95 when he beat Kama(Godfather) to finally get the urn back, and I actually just remembered how good the build was to his 5th Mania Match vs Diesel(Kevin Nash) & his 10th Mania Match vs Flair with his beatdowns on Arn Anderson & David Flair, and maybe the build to his 9th Mania Match vs Triple H I,but the other builds weren't very good at all(Snuka,Gonzalez,Sycho Sid,Bossman,Big Show & A-Train(Lord Tensai),Mark Henry) or very memorable(Edge, even tho it was a Fantastic match, the memorable parts of the feud were for the rematches they had for the next 5 months)

Greatest gimmick in wrestling history.

Greates version of said gimmick:

EDIT:
No I didn't forget Ric Flair.
Ric Flair wasn't a gimmick, Ric lived it.

Yes it is,and the weird thing is,it had all the makings for a spot in Wrestlecrap lore as a short-term gimmick, and it was not only successful it is considered one of the best gimmicks if not THE BEST even over more realistic gimmicks like say Mr.Perfect. There have been VERY few gimmicks of this caliber that have been successful and I can only think of besides Taker is Kane,Goldust,Ultimate Warrior,Mankind & Cactus Jack which Kane was an extension of Taker's so...... And Dude Love had some success but not nearly as much as Foley's other alternate personalitys. I might be forgetting some that were along those lines as Over-the-Top Gimmicks,but......

Oh and I don't consider The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom to be Over-the-Top like the ones I mentioned, even tho they looked like Warrior and had the spike shoulderpads they were just Bad Assess that happened to do so.

intresting angle, hmmm

Evil Doink was Over The Top and great.
Mr. McMahon OTT as well, but the "Ric Flair" scenario could apply to Vince.
Ultimate Widiot was OTT and inexplicably popular.
Macho Man was OTT, So was Kogan {god i hate kogan}

I actually mentioned Ultimate Warror on my list, and yes I think the Mr.McMahon is closer to Flair, and even he himself said in the McMahon documentary DVD that Mr.McMahon was a Hightended version of himself. Evil Doink was pretty good but not as successful as the others I listed,it didn't have the lasting power as the others. And Macho Man & Hogan were somewhat over-the-top,but not like the others. Macho Man's closest to over-the-top in that style was his 97-98 run as the Crazy Loose-Cannon character, but the rest of his career wasn't like that,so a year and a half period in a career that started in the late 70s and ended in the late 90s(with only a 1-month long return in 2004 in TNA) doesn't stand out like the others.

And I forgot Sgt. Slaughter.

However on a side note Iron Sheik was almost TOO close to the real person based on his interviews, and a couple of the Legends of Wrestling Roundtables on WWE 24/7-Classics On Demand.

i didn't see UW on your list til i'd posted.
Evil Doink was not done, the guy portraying him {Borne} had a Cola problem and Vince fired him. it had lots of life left.
true he'd never be Taker huge but he was really just starting that run.

Will for sure have to get this. I'm also hoping that WWE releases some past DVD sets on Blu like The Rise and Fall of ECW, Monday Night Wars (maybe a more in depth version), and The Self Destruction of The Ultimate Warrior.

It's too bad Vince wasn't smarter with World Wildlife Fund, he should have known he'd lose and should have settled with the understanding that any previously taped product featuring WWF could be released.
The editing on the WWE videos is horrendous, the music switch is pretty meh to me but the "Hentai" pixelation is a total buzz killer.

This will never be rereleased. Warrior will be in the Hall Of Fame in the next few years.

actually Vince did that to himself because he was slow to change and if you look closely at WCW, by the time 1998 rolled in, the quality difference was obvious.

Actually I'd say the quality difference didn't change drastically until 2000. Because while everybody remembers The Attitude Era for certain things(Austin vs McMahon,The Rise of the Rock,D-X as examples) there were some just as sh*tty like anything involving Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry(Mae Young),the Reinvention of Goldust into The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust,"Choppy Choppy Your Pepe!"(and the entire Val Venis character),and even some of twists in the Austin vs McMahon saga, like the "Higher Power" where Vince sacrificed Stephanie just to get one over on Austin, and then all of a sudden was p*ssed about Triple H doing the same thing, then being heartbroken when Stephanie was doing it as Revenge for that.

Yes WCW had sh*tty booking and storylines, but they still had good wrestling too. And like Ross & Jericho have said in the Rise & Fall of WCW & Jericho docs, the undercard was better a majority of the time than WWF for a long while. WCW was the ones who defeated themselves,by misusing talent that ended up defecting to WWF,and the deal Hall,Nash,& Hogan had with if anybody made more than them when signed they would shoot to that price, and Hogan's creative control.

I have always preceded WCW to WWE and today I prefer TNA to WWE.

I hope it has segments from the buildups to the matches or I probably won't buy. None of the first 5 matches are that special and most of his best matches of the streak I already own on the Wrestlemania blu rays.

Undertaker speaking out of character seems bizarre now. In 2001, not so much, as he did that on the "This Is My Yard" disc.

As for me, I'm weary of the 1998-2002 stuff due to blurring. In any event, if it's packaged right, and perhaps it's not edited to hell, I'll think about purchasing it.

I saw the Undertaker 3 or 4 times this weekend at Atlantis in the Bahamas. He was there with his family. I didn't see Michelle McCool there or anyone there with him but maybe she wasn't riding the water slides (which is where I saw him every time). He is still rocking the thin mohawk.
