No I didn't forget Ric Flair, Ric wasn't a gimmick, Ric lived it.

Yes it is,and the weird thing is,it had all the makings for a spot in Wrestlecrap lore as a short-term gimmick,and it was not only successful it is considered one of the best gimmicks if not THE BEST even over more realistic gimmicks like say Mr.Perfect. There have been VERY few gimmicks of this caliber that have been successful and I can only think of besides Taker is Kane,Goldust,Ultimate Warrior,Mankind & Cactus Jack which Kane was an extension of Taker's so...... And Dude Love had some success but not nearly as much as Foley's other alternate personalitys. I might be forgetting some that were along those lines as Over-the-Top Gimmicks,but......

Oh and I don't consider The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom to be Over-the-Top like the ones I mentioned,even tho they looked like Warrior and had the spike shoulderpads they were just Bad Assess that happened to do so.
