Default X360 HD DVD Add-on a DUD

Just thought I'd post up some anti-red news here.

Seems like quite a number of people are experiencing issues with the XBOX 360 HD DVD add on, lots of freezing or extremely slow downloading of cookie files (aren't cookie files extremely small??)

"Well, I got a bunch of movies at CC with the BOGO but none of them work! Knocked Up seems to have trashed my 360 drive so now it freezes during any HD movie. Any ideas? Should I try to delete all the cookies? When I tried to play knocked up, it downloaded a cookie for it and all hell broke loose after that. Now my non-combo movies crap out. I need to save up a bit of money for a REAL HDDVD player........... microsoft products are so unreliable
"

if you keep reading the forum, you'll see various other people having issues with the external player.

HD-DVD is "future-proof".

It won't let you use future stuff.
