Toys R Us put the 360 addon on CLEARANCE. Not price drop. The 20 gig hard drive is also 49 bux in addition to the addon price (clearance for both) on december 3rd.

I still don't understand why this thing is any more than 99.99

seriously...they aren't being competitive or desperate...more like ...just greedy..

even at 129.99....if they want to sell these things, bring them lower than 100 bucks..

They've sold 250K - 300K add-ons (which means 160K - 210K in 2007).

So, 300K (add-ons)/9100 (Xbox 360) = 3% attachment rate.

And some were predicting 20%-30%.

Amen!

Edit: and the movies need to have the same ratio: $10 for Heroes Season 1, and $2 per movie. Then I'll spend money on them.

Anyway you slice it you are still buying a soon-to-be $130 paperweight!!! So what is the gain from this price drop.....130 flushed down the toilet.

It's just unreal.

They firesale standalone players that are arguably better for $98 but this thing is still this expensive?

If they want to see something happen with it, get it down to about $69.99 and then at least it would make some kind of rational sense from a pricing standpoint.
