'The Painted Veil' (German release) - any comments on quality? - Blu-ray Forum

'The Painted Veil' has just been released on BD in Germany. Could anyone comment on its technical quality, both PQ and AQ? In particular, could you confirm that it doesn't have forced subtitles when the original language track is played?

This is one I definitely want on Blu Ray! Here's hoping to a U.S. release soon. I'm sure it looks beautiful.

Hello, thanks for posting the link. The technical specs look very good. Do you actually have this BD? If so, can you confirm that the German subtitles are optional, not forced? Thanks.

I don`t have the BD,
but i asked a friend and he said, that the German subtitel isn't forced

I know it's a Region B disc, but is it Region Locked? My understanding is that Ascot Elite Home Entertainment has a history of being Region Free.
