Yeah, I looked too, have refreshed it a few times in case it's a different advertisement...still haven't seen anything.

Sign me up!

Been looking forward to this release. But I really really hope WB can reconsider doing full BD versions instead of just giving us the limitations from the HD-DVD versions.

This has happened for years now with Nine Inch Nails' release of Closure on DVD. To my understanding, a release that's in the pipeline that won't make it by the end of the year, or perhaps isn't planned for release yet is assigned a release date of December 31st. Nine Inch Nails fans have been freaking out for about four years now . . .

Its possible that WB planned for it to come out on that date for blu-ray but decided to change their mind and push it further back without announcing it since they probably were not sure if it would happen or not but like in a previous post i hope that means Matrix in PCM not the stupid set back from the hd-dvd version

This is true...they usually do this. Besides, December 31 is a Monday, which doesn't really work for releases...not saying that it couldn't happen, though.

However, as close as that is to POTC 3, I figure the Tosh/WB agreement will extend a bit further than just a few days. Remember, the Matrix was supposed to help with the POTC trilogy on Blu.

The Rock, Con Air, and Crimson Tide, I know for a fact, were supposed to come out earlier this year. When that happens, as has been stated, they just put a generic date on them, hoping it will come out before the end of the year.

Edit: Those three titles are supposed to be released Jan. 8, 2008

If this info is from the above link, then it should be obvious by now that it may be outdated given Con Air and The Rock have already been given January 8th release dates and Crimson Tide is scheduled for February.

Well, it's either the Monday or the Wednesday because stores will be closed on New Year's Day: Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Odds are stores will want product out on New Year's Eve for people who are not hungover on the 1st...

That being said, it's true that "pipleline" releases often show as Dec 31/xx until they're solidified. It could make sense that they're trying to release it on BD as Warner stated they wanted it released on BD by year's end.

I only hope they release the films seperately as I only really truly want the original film.

So is this just a rumor? Why is it expected to be released then? There has to be some sort of fact behind it!
