I received a postcard today regarding my 5 free blu-rays. Below is what the card stated:

Thank you for your recent Blu-ray Disc Player purchase. The "Dive Into High Definition" offer gives you a chance to experience the best in Hi-Def entertainment with Blu-ray movies.

Due to the high demand on this offer we regret to inform you that there is a delay in shipping out your free Blu-ray Discs for the Summer Blu-ray offer. Our suppliers inform us that additional stock will be received shortly. Every attempt will be made to ship your order as quickly as possible. The expected shipping date is shown below on this card.

If you do not wish to wait and prefer to cancel, please detach and return the above prepaid postcard and we will promptly cancel your order.

It also listed the expected ship date as 11/04/2007. I purchased my Blu-ray player from Circuit City on 7/19/2007. Just passing along the info.

Thanks for passing it along. I called recently and they said that my discs were "Ready to Ship" so...we'll see how that goes.

For some reason, I kind of doubt anyone is going to be returning that card to cancel...

No Kidding! That's kind of strange for them to offer to CANCEL your free movies. Um, no thanks, I'll WAIT !!! Weird.

Umm, I'll have to think about this for awhile if I get such a postcard.

Did you mail it in right away? I mailed mine in on 7/26 and got my 5 free movies yesterday.

I believe it was about a week later. I can't recall the exact date, but I do remember doing it shortly after I received the product, so I could start the long process of w...a...i...t...i...n...g... I guess I will have to wait a little longer than I anticipated, but only about an extra month.

i shipped mine out 7/16 and i got them exactly a month later.

i got pearl harbor, corpse bride, italian job, stealth, and kiss of the dragon

Thanks for the heads up... I sent mine in around July 22nd, a couple days after I bought my PS3. I guess I will just forgot about it for now... and be surprised one day when they finally arrive!

I just got my movies yesterday, I sent the rebate out the last week of July. They didn't ship Underworld Evolution and Kiss of the Dragon though. Instead they sent Stir of Echoes and Hart's War.

I don't mind though, haven't seen those 2 movies yet, plus they're free so I'm thankful I got substitutes.

I checked the site, and they got one of my discs wrong (they have me down for The Gaurdian) I have that already and wouldn't have picked that.

Walmart exchange, here I come...If I ever get these things...

It says "In Process" nearly 3 months later...

I just called today - If I were you I would call them @ 800-598-9671 and find out where you stand in the "process" I mailed mine out end of July and they placed it into be process on 8/22 so 4-10 weeks from 8/22...end of Oct...

That's bullshiite and breach of contract. I don't believe the small print says anything about them being able to substitute for your requests. I haven't sent in my order yet (due by 9/30/07) but they better not send me crap I didn't specifically request on their order form. The offerings were already crap to begin with, settling for the crap I definitely didn't want isn't going to fly too well.

Read the small print more closely: it specifically reserves the right to substitute titles at their discretion.
