Default HDMI quality question

I am planning to upgrade my processor in the near future for one with HDMI inputs in order to simplify the wiring as well as take advantage of the LPCM and Dolby TrueHD out of my PS3. I just wondering if anybody has had picture quality issues when going from different versions of HDMI. I am not concerned with issues with handshake or other bugs that my equipment might have, just if anybody ever notices quality differences in the picture when you have different equipment at different standards:

Dlink Media player ver 1.1 ==> processor 1.3 ==> TV 1.1
dvd 1.1 ==> pro1.3 ==> tv1.1
PS 1.3 ==> Pro1.3 ==> tv1.1

I know that I shouldn't have issues going between standards but I was wondering what other's real world exp has been.

Thanks
