Hi, im about to sell my Olevia 26" LT26HVE for $300 and get a Vizio or a 32" tv. Do u think its worth it?
http://www.amazon.com/Syntax-Olevia-...blurayforum-20 theres a link to my Current TV. please i need some advice. Id assume i would be putting up between $200-350 for a newer 32" tv. |

ill be honest and say im not a huge olevia or vizio fan. while they sell well and are a cheap alternative to some of the bigger brands, there is a reason they are cheaper. they are a good set to put in a kids room or something like that, but as a main viewing source i wouldn't be too excited. in head to head comparisons, they often perform poorly and often times fail certain tests.
if possible, suck it up and spend a bit more for a better product |

Just remember one thing: Vizio is not the #1 selling LCD TV brand in the U.S. because it is such a great, feature filled, quality TV.
It is its price, and price alone that has attracted so many buyers. If you DO want quality then I suggest you look elsewhere. |

The old addage "you get what you pay for" still rings true in this day and age. And it has never been truer than today in the world of consumer electronics. To me, all of these inexpensive brands like Westinghouse, Vizio, Olevia lack an acceptable level of picture quality. The worst part of all three mentioned is the washed out looking images on screen with very light black levels. I just can't enjoy it. But, of course this is just my opinion.

black friday is your day to get a tv. vizio has a real nice 42inch lcd for about 1100-1200 right now, i bet it'll be 900 or cheaper on black friday. 1080p for under a grand. you cant beat it. /story |

Save up some money each month in an electronic bank like ING and let it grow. Prices of 1080p TV's will eventually come down and then you will be able to have something that make HDMI worth while. |

You could get the 32" 720p Philips LCD TV at Best Buy for around $800 right now. Since you already have a Philips LCD in your living room, you might as well go with a brand you know, for your room.
