Default HD format shelf space at your local store?

at your local store how much space is dedicated to blu and how much to hd dvd

HMV-2 metres of blu 1 metre of HD DVD
PC World-4 metres of blu 2 metres of HD DVD
So I guess were winning by double in the shop backing over in the UK

The quick answer is that they all have more Blu than Red.

Best Buy has equal in the HD section but one aisle rack as well 2 demo displays for Samsung and Sony.

Circuit City has a few extra columns.

Wal-mart has a few extra columns close to double.

Target has double the shelf space.

BJ's and Costco both has end cap displays.

It was actually written that way long before the Americanization of the word came around.

Theatre, metre, kilometre, etc.

Best Buy: 6 blu-ray racks (7 when including another rack that sits in the aisle), 3 HD DVD
Circuit City: evenly split
Target: Same number of rows for each, one more column of blu
Walmart: kind of disorganized but slightly more blu than red (haven't checked since the supposed reorganization of all of that)

Anyway, I think this sort of stuff is supposed to go in the larger thread here:

Target has double the space Best Buy just doubled the space for BD compared to HD DVD. Not sure about Wal-Mart since I try to avoid the place, but the last time I was there it was double the amount of BD, but then again that was only about 10 titles to 5 titles. I am not sure about Suncoast, but they are too expensive anyway.

For my area, this is much the same, except BB is still 50/50. Circuit City is still 2 to 1 in favor of HD-DVD. Target's are switching over to the new Blu sets here so HD-DVD iis cut down to nothing. Costo is certainly in the Blu corner here as well.

Best Buy here has more HD-DVD space in seems. Probably to hold all the Transformers that didn't sell.
