Default Do you still point your PS3 remote?

I can't kick the habit of pointing my blu-tooth remote at the PS3, despite it not being and "old school" IR remote.

Yeah, like if the cable is connected like the PS2. But that old cable cord saved me plenty from bad drops.

It's funny, like a Pavlovian response or something. After so many years of worrying about a line-of-site to the device, I can't kick the habit either...

I do the same. I'll actually reach around things to make sure I'm pointing it at my ps3 without really thinking about it.

Same here. Despite knowing otherwise, I can't stop myself from pointing it at the thing. Then again, if you're facing the PS3 and TV, it's hard NOT to point it, because the remote is oriented that way.

haha, my friend was over playing ps3 and he kept reaching forward and like swiping his hand in front of his controller and i was like "what the hell man?" and he said "i keep forgetting that these are wireless and i'm just used to doing that with my controllers"

no, i did not point to it anymore. when using infrared remote of other devices though, I also did not point to it and wonder why it does not work. Bad effect from PS3.

Once in a while I will catch myself doing it. It is a real conscience effort not to point the remote. I've pretty much stopped pointing though.

I am so tickled that I point it in the opposite direction.

I still leave the remote "pointed" at the tv when its on the coffee table....but now if I gotta pause to grab a beer, I don't care where it's pointing, just (in the words of James Brown) "hit it an' quit"........................

That's funny, I catch myself pointing it every now and then out of habit.
BUT I quickly remind myself as to why I need to do that.

Gottah love the Bluetooth!
