Default "Horror in space" movies?

Hey!

I was talking to a friend at work about "horror in space" movies, like Alien, Event Horizon, Pandorum and similar. We both knew the same titles, so I thought I would ask the good people here if they have some recommendations to lesser known films in this genre?
Even though they're not set in space, we both like movies like Cube as well.

Go!

Have heard the title and been curious about this one before, but have not seen it. I will include it on my next Amazon order.

I have seen Pitch Black (and I think my friend has too), but I have not seen Ghosts of Mars. I'll check out some trailers later on.

Just saw a scene on Youtube from this, and this is the kind of stuff that's a hit around here. The movies don't have to be super gory or anything, but it's not something we shy away from on movie night, to say the least.

Thank you all for you recommendations, it's highly appreciated.

Pretty much all Horror films set in space have been mentioned. I can only say The Thing you'll just have to pretend it takes place on a snowy planet.

Also, you can play Dead Space the game

Galaxy Of Terror is a nice little slice of 80's cheese, and should serve as a master class on the Roger Corman school of how to make a movie quick and on the cheap. Interesting bit of trivia, the production designer on the film was James Cameron and the set dresser was Bill Paxton. Fun movie which makes a great double feature with another Corman terror in space movie (also available on blu from Shout!) 'Forbidden World' which actually uses some sets left over from 'Galaxy..'

Just to throw my own hat in the ring here. I've always been a fan of the cheesier sci/fi horror space films, i.e. 'Leprechaun 4: In Space', 'Hellraiser: Bloodlines' and 'Jason X'

Along with all the ones already mentioned, of course.

What what I've seen, you can maybe throw Doom into that category. And Pandorum, which is actually a decent movie.

Prometheus
Moon (not really horror though)

We could really use more movies in this genre.

Aside from the ones already mentionned...

Classic with (admitedly small) parts happening in Space:

There is a ton of movies I remember from the 70s- late 90s, but surpringly few of them have made it on Blu-Ray (e.g. the likes of Saturn 3, Titan Find/ Creature, Inseminoid, or even Supernova (2000)). I guess the demand for these isn't that big

I love this genre for some reason-- JASON X is actually one of my favorite in the FT13th series (though I am clearly in the minority)

most of the good ones are already listed--- I'd love to see a blu release of William Malone's CREATURE (aka TITAN FIND), a really enjoyable ALIEN rip-off along the lines of FORBIDDEN WORLD and GALAXY OF TERROR

Isn't apollo 18 considered space horror? I haven't seen it so maybe I'm wrong.

One of my all-time favs and I am not a horror or Friday The 13th fan. I have seen this movie more times than a person probably should.
