I don't know if you guys had seen my other post, but I posted how my LG 3D LED tv kept having a problem with the 3D. The crosstalk was super annoying, sometimes backgrounds wouldn't add up/it was constantly blurry. Well long story short I tried updated all my players, nothing, I tried updating the hdmi cable, nothing.
I got geek squad to come out and help me, they didn't know what was wrong. They put in an order for a new XD chip to replace the one I had. Waited a week. It came and it was put in, nothing. The guy was still really confused so he said let's order you a new panel. I say okay. Then I wait another week. The panel comes, the guy exchanges them and guess what. The panel was broken left, right and across. The screen was useless. The guy felt bad about it so he put in a new order for me to get a new TV completely. Told me just go in the store and they'll take care of it for you. Alright so I call best buy and they tell me that the TV I have they no longer carry. Hmmm, okay. Then he tells me that it shouldn't be a problem, that he is going to look for a TV within my price range and let me have it. Lo and behold they don't have one at 580. They don't even carry the TV, which I bought two months ago. So he tells me that I should just go in the store and see if there is a tv close to that price that I like and maybe the mangers will work with me to offer the 580 price for a more expensive one so I wouldn't have to pay more. Moral of the story, if I get screwed over today all hell is going to break loose. His MAYBE will work with me and the fact that they don't carry the tv anymore causes much worry. Dude....I'm so sorry for your trials and tribulations with your tv. The manager better have the sense of fairness and consumer friendly service to do THE RIGHT THING: Give you TV with NO out of pocket expense on your part. Good luck to you and post what happened.

I reallllllly am hoping on that. The person on the phone did tell me that all the managers are there today, so hopefully someone has the decency to help me out. It's not like I ask for much either, I just want what I paid for to work. The real bummer is I got this as a birthday gift and couldn't even enjoy it that much because of the problems it has been giving me. Will be leaving soon though so keep your fingers crossed it'll be a happy ending!

so this has been a day of hell. For obvious reasons and others. The plot thickens.
So before the geek squad guy left my house I asked him what to do with the TV. He tells me that I could either take it back to the store or they can have someone pick it up from my house. I'm like okay and what about the sound bar and the glasses and such, he tells me that I don't need to worry about it and that they would only replace the screen and I can keep those. OKAY. So he leaves and I call best buy immediately to ask if they have the same tv as mine just to make sure if I need to bring everything in. The guy on the phone tells me that they don't carry my bundle anymore and they would try to replace it with another tv for the same price. I believe him. I grabbed the tv and went off to best buy land. I get there, I talk to a customer service. He gets someone who works the floor to come and help me out. They do and he sees what TV I have and he's like i'll be right back. 10 minutes later he walks out with the exact. same. bundle. I ask him what happened to not having anymore, he says they have a bunch in the back. OKAY. I get to customer service and then they all start to realize that the tv is a bundle and it has the sound bar and such so he asks me where I had mine. I told him I was told I would be getting a new tv and that to keep the other items. The customer service guy tell me that I need everything there in order for me to get the new bundle. I just look at him weird. He then tells me that I have to go back home and get the stuff in order for me to get my new tv. All I do is ask him why no one said that to me and why three different people were telling me three different things. Mind you I live about a half hour away from best buy and the gas prices suck so I ask him if I could come back to bring the stuff later, but take the tv home now to test it out if it still doesn't work. He wouldn't let me. I ask if the tv doesn't work again, could I return it for another tv? "I guess" was his response. I drive back home and call corporate on the verge and ready to kill. I talk to them, they say sorry, nothing gets fixed besides them wanting to send me a gift card. sure. Anyway. I go back to the store and return everything again. I get home, I open the tv, I put it on and what happens. The. Exact. Same. Issue. Except now it looks worse. I'm buying a new player tomorrow to see if maybe it's that, but if it isn't. Boy have I wasted my time and everyone else's. |

ugh I'm just so freaking mad right now. I'm literally seeing red in front of my eyes =(
I don't get whyyyyy the 2D image looks amazing and the 3D image looks like it got run over and smeared by a whale. It's like everything wants to pop out at the same time, but neither is coinciding with the other and it looks HORRIBLE. So much cross talk, so much double image, so much blurryness. GRRR |

Sorry for your woes velfornia. I had to return my first LG monitor for the very same reason. The 2D was fine but the 3D was a mess...all shimmering and horrible looking. Luckily, I ordered mine online and got a refund but only after a lot of hassle and I had to throw the "7 day cooling off period" clause at the telephone assistant before they gave in.
Before buying another player, have you tried testing it connected to a computer with YT3D clips? If they work that will mean that the 3D is working but there is a Bluray 3D issue only. Obviously if you can get it replaced or refunded, then that is the best solution. Good Luck Gae |

If the firmware does not work....maybe you should consider contacting LG directly and just explain to them what your experiencing? They should be able to help you....hopefully. |

So one last post guys!
I tried EVERYTHING that was mentioned, and everything that should have worked. I bought a new blu ray player, still the same, got the upgrade from the LG support site and tried installing. Nothing worked. It's like the Disney blu rays/Kids movies are un-watchable and then the adult movies are tolerable. I don't get ittttt |
