United Kingdom 12 Rounds Playback Problems.

I bought a copy of 12 Rounds from Play.com a few weeks ago and when i started to watch the film the picture began to break up on the 20th century fox screen right before the film starts, tried it on another player and it was the same so i sent it back for a replacement copy, recieved the new copy today and it is the same a before.
Anyone else have this problem?
Running it on a Panasonic DMP-BD35 with the latest firmware.

Hi, My copy also breaks up on my Panny BD35, at the same MGM logo mark, but only for a couple of secs then the movie plays fine, I've tried it on my old Sony S300 and it plays perfect, No breakup. So thie may be a player prob?

Man, I am happy to hear that.. I have the same problem on my Pioneer BDP-51FD..

Funny thing.. Then I connected my old Samsung BD-P 1400 and it played the disc fine. I watched the whole movie. The picture didn't break up once.. With the Pioneer the problems started when the Fox logo still was on the screen .. Then stopped shortly came back and around the 6 minute mark the movie froze completely..

Wow that is strange. Seems like a consistent problem.

Thanks for letting me know mine isn't the only one that does it, weird how there is a problem with this yet have never had any issues with any others before. No problem with it on a Ps3 either!

Sorry, I know this is an old thread...

Just bought 12 Rounds off e-bay and it won't play on my Toshiba BR player.

This is the only disc out of the 200 or so I own that I've had problems with, seems to be the exact same problems as mentioned above.

The Fox logo breaks up and the sound plays but the picture freezes completely and then goes black. Even the menu screen looks corrupted???

One of the Oppo players had difficulty with playing the disc (not sure what region). It was a Java compatibility problem. The only thing I can suggest is that you make sure you're player is up-to-date (be very careful if you're running a different firmware to make your player multi-region). I'm not sure how to combat the Java problems apart from either making sure you're player has access to the internet and has a USB stick inserted to add content to or do the complete opposite disable your connection if you have one running and hope it fixes the problem.

Thanks for the help with this, I appreciate it.

I'll have to dig out the instructions to the player and have a look what it says about updating to the firmware and connecting to the internet etc.

To be honest I'm a bit of a "plug and play" kinda guy so this type of stuff goes over my head a little bit.

The weird thing is the disc was on the doormat when I arrived from work on Friday so I tested it out that evening for about 5 mins and it played fine. The fact it won't work now means maybe there is now some data stored in the cache of the player? Similar to how when you turn the player back on it remembers what part of the film you were last up to?

The Java stuff is a bit beyond me but you could be right (I'm not sure if you have a USB stick connected), I'd double-check the disc to make sure it's clean. I find it quite hard to spot marks on the discs if they have smudges so it might be worth cleaning it first and really inspecting it thoroughly.

An update might help the US disc seems to have caused a few problems so we may have had the same issues over here.

I've been having issues with my Blade Runner disc 3 of the anniversary set, it's ejected itself twice now saying it's not compatible with the player but works fine on the second attempt.
