Question How is the "We Are Marshall" Blu-ray?

I've been wanting to see We Are Marshall for the longest time. And if anyone has it on Blu-ray, could you tell me how the PQ, AQ, and special features are and if it's worth adding to my collection? Thanks!

I personally thought the movie was weak - not near enough emotion to pull you in for the tragedy that happened. Like the newest Pearl Harbor, it didnt make you really care about it the way it should. Boring - Remember the titans was way better as football movies go. as far as the blu ray, I dont know about PQ or SQ sinced the movie doesnt do anything for me

Well, I finally picked up this release, got it for $10 but it really is a great film. I was, however, put off by Matthew McConaughey's acting in this film. He's generally a great actor but I just didn't care for his style here, it just felt too stiff or he just didn't seem too enthused about his lines.

I don't know if it's because of the way the script was written or what but I just don't think it was his best effort.

+1 I watch Remember the Titans every August to get me psyched for the upcoming football season. Besides being a great football movie, its very inspiring for desegregation having such a positive outcome. We Are Marshall is pretty boring, and I was even born in Huntington WV (where Marshall U is). PQ and lossless audio is very good, but I agree with kemcha that McConaughey just doesn't work in this role.

Thanks. Don't get wrong, this is still a great movie but McConaughey really should have done a better job. I just felt that he could have done a better performance. I've actually enjoyed many of his films. Contact, Sahara, Failure to Launch, Dazed and Confused. His performance for We Are Marshall just didn't live up to what I expected.

I'm not a big sports fan and I only watch the Red Wings when they're playing for the cup but I'm watched better sports films ... such as The Rookie, Invincible, Hoosiers, Glory Road, Rudy ... I just wish he would have done a better job here.

When the highpoint of the movie happens when the entire student body is chanting "We Are Marshall", before McConaughey comes into the film, then there's something wrong. Also, I expected to hear the entire cast at the end, where they're on the football field, to be chanting "We Are Marshall" but I felt McG missed an opportunity here. It was a climatic point in the movie, which he failed to hit on.

Just rewatched it. They filmed the crash scene behind my wife's office at Charlie Brown airport outside Atlanta. I like it. It is a character driven movie. Bobbie Bowden showed his true colors, even a Gator fan can agree that what he did at WVU was an incredible show of humanity. Watching the featurette on coaching. Getting ready for the season. Just deciding what to watch next, Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, Invincible, The Blind Side, Gridiron Gang or Junction Boys.
