Dirty player menu problem - Blu-ray Forum

Don't know if anybody else has had the same issue, but at the end of the movie, after the credits everything seems fine. It goes back to the main menu no problem. I try to go over to the special features and it stopped at scene selection and ss menu popped up. I closed it and it popped up again and again. I couldn't even select a scene. I finally got it to go back to languages and it happened again. I finally turned the disk off and turned it back on and it's was fine. Maybe its not the disc. Maybe my player is dirty. I really haven't cleaned it lately. Its a PS3 by the way.

I didn't have any problems...after I finished the movie I used the pop-up menu to go to the special features and everything was fine.

I have a PS3 and had no problems.

Check for firmware updates, have you done this lately? Also, clean and take care of your machine!

I don't think it's the movie. I'm about to clean my player. It needs it.

Someone was having a menu problem as well and they had to reset their player to defaults...after that it worked fine though.

What do you use to clean yours? I haven't done so to mine and this sounds like a good idea?

I should be watching my set tonight of Spidey 3. I will report any issues with my PS3.

I don't know if there is any special cleaners for a blu-ray player. I have a disk that has two brushes. One is dry and the other one is a wet brush that you apply a drop of CDL2 cleaning solution to it that helps clean the lens. The company is Discwasher Digital.

OPPS! I just realized that I've been spelling Spidey wrong this whole time. CRAP!!!

No issues with Spidey 3 for me, but I did have an issue with Spidey 2. When I click play at the menu pop-up, I get the option to choose the theatrical version or 2.1. If I hit the down button to go to 2.1, the menu disappears and nothing happens. Instead, I have to hit the up arrow to get it to go to version 2.1, then it'll play version 2.1. Not a big deal, just odd. Anyone else have this?

I got Guitar Hero 3 for my PS3. When I had the small adapter plugged in for the wireless guitar, it was doing funny stuff during the menus. I took off the adapter, and everything is fine.
