Action movie about the White House and the president under attack. This is the second movie this year with the exact same premise. The other is White House Down.

I saw the preview for this a few days ago when I went to see A Good Day to Die Hard. IMO it looks really interesting. Most likely I'll go see it when it comes out. I wasn't aware of the other movie you mentioned.

Both movies are like Die Hard... in the White House. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing, all I know is they can't be worse than Die Hard 5.

I am not xpecting much from this as it stars Gerard Butler who hasn't had a good hit movie in a loooooooooooong time. It will not affect the the box office of White House Down, which will probably be a bad movie too.

The R isn't that hard. Really didn't feel it should be R apart from a couple of gun fights. And the CGI was similar to Stealth's CGI.

I have a childhood friend who's an actor that's in this movie. Very, very small parts but after I saw Battlefield, which he is in, I asked what's next and he said this movie. Looks like a great popcorn flick, one man against the world of bad guys. According to the author's track on First Blood, that movie is the prototype for this genre. I just wonder if my old friend is a good or bad guy in this one, lol. In Battlefield he was one of the Joint Chiefs.

My childhood friend in the movie's role is listed as 'Watch Office'. He was 'discovered' while shopping at Walmart, lol.

why the hell would you make a movie rated R and not go HARD R?? Makes zero sense. If I could make a rated R movie, you can bet your ass it'd be brimming with F-bombs, lewd humor, gore, dismemberment, viscera, TnA, realistic-looking explosions, I may even kill a few children to hammer the point home a'la Rambo IV, etc.

OK...I'm going to say it...I thought trailer looked bad, but that doesn't mean the film is bad. The second thing I want to say is that I never knew there another movie slated for this year with the same premise. Movies like these never go well with the first to release. Deep Impact came out before Armageddon? The Illusionist and the Prestige? Million Dollar Baby and Cinderella Man (p.s. I love this movie)? Mirror, Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman(yes, I know that neither of them are that good)?

I have to admit, that while looking over these, I found some of them where the first movie to be released was the better movie. Oh, well...if I included those examples then my theory would be shot.

I don't know...I think your rated-R movie is missing more T-n-A. You can't just have one scene.
