OK, so long story short I'm waiting on delivery from Dell of a U2713HM. Dell Canada had a 10 mins glitch on their site last week and I grabbed one of these for $500, and after a long and polite email to the head of their english CS about how horrible their french language support site is and how badly they treated me, and, also, how good, polite and professional their english support site is, I ended up with a 2 years extended warranty including adv. Exchange.
'nyways, after many many hours of reading I get the impression that using DisplayPort is the way to go, native RGB and all. Also I know DVI-D will be pretty much at max resolution on this WQHD monitor. I could just test it out but decent DisplayPort cables aren't cheap. So, my question is: "Is DP the way to go?"
