Hey buddy, so that means I just got myself a great monitor then. I've used WQHD monitors before and they are great, but haven't seen the Dell before, though it's been reviewed by all to rave reviews.

The reason I was asking, was more of a general one as I just might have to use it anyways, using HDMI for my HD DVD and DVI for my cable box (or the other way)

But, like HDMI, there are the different versions of DP and am confused with the different specs you find on different DP cables. Anything specifically I should be looking at buddy.

And since you own one, your thoughts about the monitor, and the extra GPU power needed to drive these well in games?

Well I found some from about $10 but up to $30. All the cheaper ones state ver. 1.1 no audio, and then you have many different maximum throughput, so I'm confused and ain't takin a sales rep opinions on those, unless Monster doesn't make them lol

Edit 2: Oh, buddy, could you link me to a brand that you would recommend? And also, I do like the DP concept very much, to me reads superior to HDMI, at least till HDMI 2 and even then they're just catching up
