PS3 BD Live by Summer - Blu-ray Forum

I thought everyone would be excited to hear this.

It is a very small article mentioning that the PS3 will receive an update to BD Live right around the time that the Panny BD50 is released. So it seems that what many of us have suspected is only a few short months away.

Hopefully we can pick up some of HD audio codecs that we are all waiting for too.

It may be 2.0 but eventually the ps3 will hit a limit as to how good of a player it is compared to standalones.

Even now IMO its not really the best player out there. If I didn't know about all the 2.0 players coming out right now I'd settle for a Panny BD30K or a Sharp BD Player...

Still though it is good news for all the ps3 owners out there...
