Default Time to regroup at blu-ray.com and get back in focus

OK every other thread today is about hd DVD or related to them in some way. The more intelligent people on here know blu ray is going to end up the single format for HD so why does everyone keep posting about our worthless rivals?????

Who cares Toshiba is giving away players because in the end it will be a bankrupcy for them and a complete waist of money for the people that bought them period(yes $100 isn’t much but still $100 people). And for the people that went purple good for you but why do you feel the need to post it here remember this is blu-ray.com not AVSfourm.com so if you lost some IQ points and went purple because Toshiba took a dump and you think your got some kind of great deal you really DONT HAVE TO post it here keep that to yourself because all your doing is pissing true blu-ray supporters off and making a fool of yourself.......................................... ..and with all the new members coming on lately the mods really need to do some troll exterminating here too this used to be the best forum I visit but now it seems to be over ran by fools(well at the very least today it seems that way)

I will continue to support blu because deep down I know that’s what is right and I hope the majority of you will do the same. Thanks for your time and sorry for the rant but today pushed me over the edge and I had to get this off my chest before I beat the crap out of some hd DVD fanboy next time I venture to best buy

I agree.

The worst thing that can happen now is for people to get caught up in the illegal 'dumping' activities of Toshiba (at least until the media catches on that what they did is illegal in several states and it actually hurts consumers).

Frankly, I think any direct HDDVD positive news should be promptly removed from these forums unless there is credible evidence presented to debunk it.

We've been attacked like a deli in Palestine lately.
If it gets much worse we might as well just put hd dvd ads on the home page.
Over the last few days blu-ray.com is doing a better job of advertising hd dvd than Toshiba is, even if unintentionally.

OK, I don't on a HD DVD player, and have no intentions of it, even at $100. But I would be interested to know how selling a player for $100 is illegal. I mean if I manufacture a product, I can sell it for $10,000,000,000 each, or $1 each, that is MY choice.

Ya'll just need to stop rising to the bait and all. We're trying to shunt it elsewhere, keep it all in place (see our oh noes the sky is falling thread in off-topic) but there's just a rash of new topics and posters who have been laying dormant for awhile that have lit up like crazy. Only so much time to tackle it all.

Posting info on the competition is fine. Its just the immediate negative overblown reaction that everyone has to it that is out of hand. The more you know about the competition, the more you and everyone else that visits this forum will be informed. New visitors can make a better and more informed decision.

By panicking, we're just all falling and spreading FUD. Keep the negative reactions to a minimum and ask questions that will help you be more informed, not spout nonsense that makes everyone uneasy.

watch out for trolls..I am sure they will be lurking soon because they see what an uproar this $98 player has caused for this forum.

I guess what I am trying to say is instead of saying HD-DVD is a poor format why don't you counter with a logical posting instead of immediately posting "troll" and "HD-DUD sucks".

Regular visitors aren't the only one's looking through the boards. People interested in blu-ray are looking for information and when they read informative reply's to "trolls" they know blu-ray is where it is at. When all they see are attacks on HD-DVD without valid arguements they only see zealots. When they see "trolls" they'll see RED zealots.

My two cents.
