Question TV and BD bundles.

Will Panasonic, Sharp, Samsung, Pioneer etc follow Sonys lead and offer free BD players with their LCDs/Plasma's. I see alot of adds for their TVs but little or nothing for their BD players. They really need to step up on pushing these standalone players out.

Here's to hoping... I think this would really help get things in gear considering the multiple manufacturer support that blu has.

Hopefully the BDA reads this site occasionally and gets the hint on this one.

BTW- I think there have been a few other threads like this.

Actually speaking of Bundles.
Bill Sheppard (Director BDA) mentions having possible bundles from hopefully all the CE companies this holiday.

This is hugely important IMO. People are confussed. They have gotten it into their heads that this is a Sony v Toshiba battle. If they see Sharp, Pioneer, Panasonic, Philips etc selling these bundles it should make the picture more clear.

Reading the last couple of months Empire and Total Film magazines there is alot of BD and HD-DVD adds. There are also adds for PS3s and XBoxs. Panasonic have adds for there LCDs but no mention of their BD players. Seems strange that they would not mention them in a movie magazine which has quite a large section for DVDs and Hi-def movies.
