Default Come on Sony: New Bundles please

A lot of you people answered my previous thread about what makes the ps3 a monster besides games and BD. I am definitely going to go with the purchase very soon but was wondering if any of you have heard if Sony plans to release a newer bundle. I would get the 40GB but could care less about Spidy 3. The 80GB which I am leaning towards because of the BC needs to hav a new game in that package. Why dont either of them come with HDMI cables? That is very Microsoft like if you ask me. (I own and love my 360). I did see bestbuy or CC has a free blu-ray controller with purchase..ehhhh..doesnt do it for me. Time for some new incentives for the first time buyer's like me

You can only hope something leaks or a particular store offers something because Sony aren't going to halt sales by announcing a superior deal before it happens.

good call. I was hoping with these blu freaks (in a good way) you all might have some inside word on new bundles or better incentives at various stores. I'm torn between the two models and whether I'd play my old ps2 games and if that is worth $100 more.

Check Dell..not sure about the States but in Canada they had some nice bundles around the holidays that included an additional game and the HDMI cable.

if you are a aaa member then you can get a coupon for cc for 8% off. check out the aaa website to print one off. if not pm me and ill get one emailed to me and forward it to you. i personally bought a 80gb ps3 when the coupon was worth 10% percent off but even with 8% off it is still a good deal. this way you can but whatever accessory you want and make your own bundle. now it does list "game hardware" as an exception but that prints off on the second page (i simply forgot to take this page in). most have never seen it and will readily override what the comp says.

i don't think you really need to make an issue with the hdmi.

i believe sony's reasoning without including one was to shave as much cost for the consumer as possible. remember, the majority of the world does NOT have HD tv. so including one would be rather a waste of money at the bottom line for sony.

an hdmi cable is fairly cheap regardless. i bought a $30 cable at wal-mart, and it works just fine with me.

Sony has an amazing new bundle rolling out in Europe:

No word if they're planning something sneaky here in the USA but I wouldn't rule it out.

personally,

so much quick action in their bundling strategies would make me a little sketchy .....

well, not sketchy, but i would make me think that they're not confindent in what they're selling.

i think that their current strategies so far are proving just fine, as the HD format war chapter is about to come to an end, and the beginning of the end of the 7th gen consoles are about to start.

we all know who's going to win this war.

it's gonna be sony. period.

what do they call it when the horsies win all three championships?

tri-fecta. who knows. someone help me out, i just pulled a midnight shift and am hurting here.

You can find bundles for the 40g at Amazon and Walmart every once in awile.I got mine just before the holidays from Amazon with a game and the remote for 399.99 shipped not tax.
As for the 80g they also have specials where you might get an extra game but thats not too often

Just have to do your homework and jump on a deal when you see on.
