Just as filming wraps for her upcoming beach flick "Spring Breakers," Selena Gomez has announced another project -- an action movie with Ethan Hawke.



In a video Q&A with her fans, the former Disney star opened up about her current and past projects. "This year has definitely been more about acting and film, so there's 'Spring Breakers' and then I'm doing another movie called 'The Getaway' with Ethan Hawke. It's really, really exciting," Gomez said. "I go to Bulgaria and then I start filming. It's more of an action movie, which is also different. So we're doing that and then hopefully another movie, but that hasn't really been confirmed yet."



She added, "Then I'll start working on my fourth album, which will be the best album I'll ever do! But I'm just kind of halting music for a bit."



The 19-year-old singer's last album, 2011's "When the Sun Goes Down" peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. After touring for "Sun," she and her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, have taken a break from music.



"The Getaway" was a 1972 thriller starring Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw. The film was then remade in 1994 with Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger. Gomez offered no further details about the film -- so it may or may not be the same "Getaway."

Yes!! I loved all 3 ladies in it, but wow, what a bad movie.

Selena needs to do a Mean Girls type movie. She's good at the b~tchy, sarcastic character.

That's a bit unfair: other than the age discrepancy (Ethan is twice Selena's age), it's not out of the realm of possibility that Ethan and Selena could work as an on-screen couple because Ethan doesn't look his age.

Seth Rogen doesn't work as a love interest because.....well, have you seen Seth? Michelle is shapely, Seth is Seth; Michelle is pretty, Seth is Seth; Michelle has on-screen charisma, Seth has Seth.

Yeah I know who she is, was hoping it'd prompt somebody to post that picture of her with Selena on top of her. She's all right, not as pretty as Selena and Vanessa though. Getaway, Spring Breakers, Aftershock, almost makes me glad WoWP ended so she could focus on movies. Almost.
