My haul:

Films:

16 Blocks/Last Boy Scout/Last Man Standing
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Austin Powers Trilogy
Battleship
Brave
Burlesque
The Expendables 2
Get the Gringo
The Grey
Haywire
Kung Fu Panda double pack
Lockout
Primal Fear
Proof
Real Steel
Red Riding Hood
Renaissance
Safe
Shawshank Redemption DigiBook
Snow White and the Huntsman
Wrath of the Titans

Total: AU$259.50 (AU$9.98 per film delivered)

TV:

Homeland: The Complete First Season
Justified Season 1
Justified Season 2
Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
Spartacus: Vengeance
The Walking Dead: Season 1 Special Edition

Total: AU$98 (AU$16.33 per season delivered)

Criterion Collection:

Blow Out
The Game
Rosemary's Baby

Total: AU$56 (AU$18.66 per Criterion delivered)

Other:

Skyfall Soundtrack (AU$11 delivered)

Total spending: AU$376

Absolutely chuffed with this year. Movies work out to $10 each and that's awesome considering there are things like Get the Gringo, Snow White and the Huntsman, Lockout, Wrath of the Titans and Expendables 2 which are either new release or pre-order here and are/will cost double to triple (or 5x as much in the case of Wrath of the Titans) what I paid for them.

Great deals on TV too. Homeland and the two Spartacus seasons would have set me back almost $100 even at JB's recent 20% off sale so getting them from overseas basically means I got both Justified seasons and The Walking Dead for 'free'.

Awesome price on the Criterions as well. The prices completely whoop Barnes and Noble's recent sale.

Yeah I spent a bunch but I'll be able to offload some of these as Christmas gifts for myself and some are for the kids (Kung Fu Panda, Brave) and wife (Burlesque) so in the scheme of things not a bad week of buying at all! Coincidentally, with all these orders I just hit the 1000 mark.

For me there wasn't that many great deals at all, nothing that I was really interested in had a significant drop in price, except for a handful of the more modern Criterion titles, which I picked up. Maybe if I hadn't purchased 400 or so blu's from about August til now, I would have had more that I wanted to purchase during the BF sales. Though the majority of the titles that I have imported over the last few months didn't decrease in price past what I paid for them anyway, so essentially waiting for BF to purchase them would have been a complete waste of time.

Anyway I picked up

From Amazon France

Silent Hill
Two Hands
John Carpenter's Vampires
The Grudge 2

From Amazon U.S

Being John Malkovich (Criterion)
Casino Royale (1966)
Children of the Corn 4 movies collection
Color of Night/Playing God double pack
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Criterion)
Dogma
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Criterion)
From Dusk Till Dawn series 4 movie pack, (I only wanted this for Full-Tilt Boogie, as I already own the individual UK releases of 1-3)
G.I. Joe 1987 movie
Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers
Hellraiser 4 movie pack
Insomnia
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Phenomenon
The Royal Tenenbaums (Criterion)
The Thin Red Line (Criterion)
Traffic (Criterion)

From Screen Archives Entertainment
The Blue Lagoon

And from Amazon UK I preordered (adding them to existing preorders by contacting Amazon)

The Full Monty
Dead Man Walking

Total approximately $430

Finally got my first Black Friday item!

Boondock Saints. Shipped via iParcel. Australia Post is absolute crap on a stick though. iParcel gets it around the world in 2 days (left US 28/11, arrived here 30/11). Cleared customs at 11.30am on FRIDAY and took until today to get to the Central Coast - 1 hour away from the airport. 5 days to travel 1 hour vs. 2 days to travel around the world. Another iParcel delivery is sitting there in Sydney still and it's been there since the 28th!

I have a modified Pioneer BDP-150, but you can pick up a Laser or Soniq pretty cheap and they are both region free out of the box.

He responded to my post in the other thread, I think he went with Laser:

There are only a select few models available to the Australian and New Zealand markets that are region free out of the box or that can be modified. Some of the guy's use Veon or Soniq players for this, and from memory there are also models from Pioneer, Kogan and Laser that play titles from all regions. Though I think the majority of the local guys do use the Oppo BDP-93 or 103.

Oppo players are great but are probably a bit out of my price range. Found some cheaper deals on the Laser ones you mentioned that are more suitable. Looking forward to getting some amazon imports!
