Warner replacement program for Matrix Revolutions - Blu-ray Forum

Warner Bros. has quietly implemented a replacement program for defective Matrix Revolutions Blu-ray discs.

The number to call is (800)553-6937.

The lady I talked with knew exactly what I was talking about. The only information she wanted from me was the UPC number on the back of the case and my address. She said a corrected copy would be sent to me within a week, and that I did not need to send them my defective disk.

For those unfamiliar with the problem, there is a glitch at 1:45:46. It is a physical problem with the disk and not an encoding error. For more information go to http://home.earthlink.net/~jmorg/matrix/Matrix.htm.

Will corrected discs replace ones already in stores?

It always worries me when I see replacement programs, due to the fact that they may have ended by the time that I eventually pick up a copy cheaper in a few years.

Typically, new production will have corrected discs, but there is generally no recall of existing defective Blu-ray discs. My guess is that most, if not all, of the Ultimate Matrix Collection Blu-ray sets currently on store shelves have a defective Matrix Revolutions disc.

I hadn't heard about this. I have the boxset and sampled the film which looked amazing, but haven't had a chance to watch the film entirely on BD yet. Thanks for the information. Will definitely call.

Any other replacement Disc's Program I should know of.... Is there a site were they are listed or something??

There was a similar deal for Pirates of the Caribbean at one point long ago.. that one is likely over now though...

Excellent OP, thanks for that number! If anyone is curious the number and the program are valid for Canada as well (edit, ya just like he said^^^). It literally took less than 2 minutes and she didn't even ask for the UPC. The new disc should arrive within one week.

I just called. After I gave them my last name they already had the rest of my info in their system. She didn't even ask me what was wrong, just told me my replacement disc would be on its way in a week or so.

Pretty painless and it'll be nice to have a copy with no issues even if it is a small one.

Thanks for the heads up people. Just called (also from Toronto, Canada) and within a minute the rep had my details and I was told that I'd receive my replacement in a week. She didn't even ask for a UPC.

Wow, i never even knew about this. I see that you don't really notice the problem if you play it on a PS3...I guess that's why I never noticed. I wonder if mine's messed up though.

same here. hard to noticed on ps3 but on my s350 you can noticed it..
