Exclamation Upgrading the PS3 40 GB model??

Good afternoon all:
How big can you upgrade the hard drive on this PS3 40GB? I own an PS2 already and should not have to buy the 80 GB model at all?? Just buy the ps3 40 GB and save the $100....save for movies or something else.. One other thing like the connections for HDMI 1.3 ... are the same for both models, not missing anything else I think???? Thanks for any input.

Read here about the HDD ..

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...5&postcount=21

might want to read other stuff in the thread about odball Hitachi drives not being standard.

40 GB is even quieter and cooler than the other models. Less power draw due to 65nm Cell and other chip reductions. If movies are primary focus this may be of more importance than if your mostly a gamer.

40GB has 2 USB ports vs 4 ports in the other models

40GB does not have the memory card readers for SD, Memorystick, Compact Flash

HDMI 1.3 for both

If your in Canada .. Dell.ca has some smokin deals on the 40GB ..that includes a top quality game like Ratchet and Clank or an extra controller .. plus a HDMI cable for the same price as Best Buy etc is offering ..without those extras.
