What a great thread! I had the pleasure of working with Adrienne as the cinematographer of WAITRESS, and I have no idea why that successful flick never came out on Blu-ray. Would've been perfect to release it when the Tony-nominated Broadway musical adaptation was goin' on (it's great BTW). I'm certainly available to supervise any remastering they'd like to do ... the DVD and HD streaming are based on an OLD scan.

"Sudden Manhattan" is one of my all time favorite comedies and it has the worst DVD release in the history of home video. It's not even pan and scan they just filmed it down the middle and hoped to catch some of the images by accident. There is a lot of picture information missing on all sides compared to my old letterbox version I recorded off Sundance channel (remember when they aired indie films!). Even the 2nd audio commentary is unlistenable, just dead silence mostly. I would be thrilled with any decent letterbox release on this film. There is no other comedy like it. Ten minutes into this film, I remember thinking I have never seen a movie like this.

Didn't realize this had gotten a dvd release. I can finally retire my laserdisc.
Particularly loved her in the Hartley films. She was such a beauty. Taken too soon. RIP
