PS3 outselling A2s and Xbox 360s

Go to the bottom of the page where it shows the top 20 selling high def. products. The PS3 80gb at this moment is ranked 30th, the Toshiba hd dvd A2 player is at 39, the Xbox elite system is at 52, the 60gb PS3 is at 269, the 20gb Xbox 360 is barely selling at a rank of 714th.

I can't see what you are refering to... plus where does the 40GB PS3 rank?

(The A2 is doing pretty well if it really is outselling XBOXs, and ranking so close to the PS3)

The page won't open for me, but is this number after the big $99 sale on the hd player from this past friday?

The A2 is ranked in electronics and some of this other stuff in video games, so it is hard to know how they compare in actual volumes.

The Blu-ray remote for the PS3 is currently at #43 in video games. The 40GB PS3 is currently at #37 there.

This is just rankings on Amazon. I know it got down to about $140 there, but don't think it got that low on Amazon.

Some sites are claiming 90,000 HD-DVD players sold last weekend (First weekend in Nov 2007).

I wonder how many of these customers end up never picking up a HD-DVD title and just use their players to play DVDs because while the HD-DVD player is as cheap as a DVD player, the discs are a totally different story.

Or they think it a HD-DVD player will play their DVDs in HD?

The top selling hd dvd players and PS3's were listed on the link I gave, but about 1/2 an hour later they were no longer showing and had been replaced by movies.
darinp2's links work, thanks darin. The #'s have changed slightly as they are updated every 1/2 hour.

That seems very unlikely, with the only exception probably the premiere of the $400 model.

Good point. I would compare the ranking of the PS3 remote with A-2/xbox add on drive to compare sales. However, there may be a significant number of people who wish to use the PS3 with the game controller, but, I am guessing not too many.

With the upscaled pic, they probably do think it is in HD having never seen Blu in their homes....

A2s for free should not be counted. Weren't they giving five films with them so essentially Toshiba were giving these away for free (no income).
