Could this guy be any more wrong?

It's too long to copy and paste the article, but here's the link:

What a shill.

The guy has no idea what he is talking about.

He actually contradicted himself about three times in the article (one example, he said the A3 was $199 then on page 2 said it was $299).

He obviously didn't fact check Warner's contract with the BDA either as that has been signed according to their site listing of new contracts (there's a thread on here about it somewhere).

"Technologically speaking, Blu-Ray is the superior format. It has a higher capacity and has more movie studios behind it, but that doesn't mean it has more movies or even that they're better movies - my Blu-Ray collection is now half my HD-DVD collection."

means his Blu ray collection is growing

"At the end of the day though, it doesn't really matter which one you buy if it doesn't have the movies you want - I recommend checking www.highdefdigest.com for reviews and release schedules for each format. It's much cheaper to go HD-DVD, but if you enjoy the special effects of saturated action movies, Blu-Ray is going to have some more options for you at this point. "

Blu ray is BETTER like he said

How is it cheaper to go HDDVD?
My Bd player cost me mmmm i guess around 200 bucks and guess what it might be 2.0 spec compliant yup the PS3.

Why 200 you say, well lets say the PS3 and 360 both great machines right, well my PS3 came with Blu ray playback for 200 more. So yes i bought a gaming console and paid a premium of 200 for Blu ray playback, can't complain.

Default Hilarious

The guy is obviously a devoted HD-DVD fanboy so he is entitled to his opinion although misinformed. Blu is the way to go and it shows in sale week after week.

Remember this is just one article in an ARKANSAS journal...

Sadly it's articles like this that WILL push people toward the "bargain" product...people today are VERY cost concious due to all the latest housing troubles etc and when presented with two items that do basically the same thing, it's not hard to guess which one J6P will want for Xmas etc....

Blu needs to do an all out cost assault to get the attention of the fence sitters IMO.
