Anime To Watch During The Christmas Season - Blu-ray Forum

Over the years I've made it a tradition to watch xmas themed anime during the season. I start off with Chocotto Sister, then the Love Hina Xmas OVA, then the Ranma 1/2 Xmas OVA and finish up with My Santa. Does anybody here do anything similar and have any favorites of their own?

Tokyo Godfathers is probably the big one. It’s playing in theaters next week.

I haven't seen Tokyo Godfathers, but if it's theaters, here's a great chance to see it on big screen. Is it really that good?

To be honest I don't see what connection there is between The Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzumiya and Xmas.

I don't have specific anime for Christmas season. But I like it when Studio Ghibli or similar chilled movies like Your Name, Mirai, etc... play on TV during Christmas Eva and/or during 1st and/or 2nd Christmas Day.

Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket is a common answer, and one I've re-watched around the season, but it's not particularly Christmas-y. If you're okay with single episodes of longer series, episode 7 of K-On and episode 10 of Maid Dragon on the other hand are very festive and a fun time.

City Hunter also has some enjoyable Christmas episodes, like the second series' two parter 37 and 38.

The thing that I like about Chocotto Sister is that it starts with Christmas and ends with Christmas. It has some loli stuff in it but it's a feel good story, Choco is an absolute joy to watch.
