My feelings are the exact opposite concerning those two films. Didn't hate Hot Fuzz, but I enjoyed Shaun a great deal more. I am a horror junkie though. BTW, nice avatar.

+1. Loved SoD. Thought that Hot Fuzz was two slow for such a climatic ending. Although, it was Timothy Dalton's best performance in.... Forever.

Agreed on Timothy Dalton. I still struggle with him ever being James Bond.

Thankfully there's more flavors of Cornetto should they decide to expand beyond a trilogy.

I like Shawn of the Dead a lot more than Hot Fuzz. I also have a thing for zombies though.

That sounds awesome!!

Blood and Icecream trilogy? Didn't realize they were doing that.

I LOVED Shawn of the Dead AND Hot Fuzz. Now can they get these all out on Blu-ray?

Looking forward to it, these guys really make me laugh.

Can't Wait for Pegg and Wright's next movie. Both Shaun and Hot Fuzz are brilliant.

I've never seen a Simon Pegg flick. Is he really worth all the hype? I saw a lot of people loving him when they first heard that he was going to be in Inglorious Bastards.

He was, but he recently had to back out due to "insurmountable scheduling difficulties". Tarantino is trying to get it rushed to production so they can screen at Cannes in 09.

Universal officially gives the green light for 'The World's End'
Quote:

Great news for fans of Edgar Wright’s blood and ice cream trilogy: The World’s End has officially been greenlit! The concluding film to the trilogy that started with Shaun of the Dead and continued with Hot Fuzz will once again feature the team up of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with Wright behind the camera. Universal Pictures has given the go-ahead on the film, which is currently in pre-production and will shoot in the UK this October. The sci-fi comedy was written by Pegg and Wright and features five childhood friends who reunite to complete a pub crawl they never finished in their younger days.

Deadline has reported that The World’s End is officially greenlit and also provided a look at the exclusive Comic-Con poster for the film.

Synopsis:
Quote:
“20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.”

Wow! This appears to be coming sooner than I had anticipated. IMDb has had it listed as 2014 forever, but this new poster now pinpoints a 2013 release! Wright, Peg and Frost are an unbeatable team. 2013 is quickly shaping up to be another banner year for film!
