Default a bit fusterated

I don't mind debating HD-DVD users I usually end up winning until it ends up becoming personal attacks/bad attitude/just being dropped but tonight, I saw a post on HD-DVD.com where they claimed "HD DVD beats Blu-ray on European movie sales" they are just repeating an article talking about attach rates, are we just babysitting HD-DVD fanboys on the forums they act up with "we have better attach rates" and we end up saying "No, you have fewer players so fewer or equal sales will give you higher attach rates, are you grown up enough to talk about actual sales?"

I'm tired of pointing out the flaws in thier arguments and then 2 days later having to do it all over again, today a new guy got a HD-DVD player and I wanted to say return it for a blu-ray player but I didn't want to be a troll on there. is there a way to effectively debate or are we just going to repeat ourselves until HD-DVD has fewer and fewer fans?

Well, I guess this old saying works...a little repetition will make someone learn something eventually. You will forever (that is until someone wins this format war) have people coming on to some forum doing exactly what those people are doing. And if people are informed continuously, then it will eventually sink through their thick skulls. But leave it to fan bois to run around screaming FUD--even newbies can be fan bois.

But frustration is very understandable. Talk to Penton about having this happen on AVS all the time when he was actually welcome there.

as everybody knows, toshiba counts ps3 towards the attach rate figure, but discount ps3 towards the BD player figure. the attach rate will be much higher for bd if they exclude ps3 (which they always have for counting number of players sold)

It's their money, they can put it wherever they want. No use arguing about it. They just want to justify their purchase.
