Default Battery for dual shock controller

Anyone know about how the battery status will be monitored on the dual shock controller?

Yep, the red light denoting which controller number you are will flash (or something) when the battery starts to run low, but as they are supposed to last about 12 hours on a full charge, I dare say you can simply plug them in overnight to your PS3 (on standby) and they will recharge.

As far as I know, you would treat the battery just like a cell phone battery. Besides you can still use the controller while it's charging although it takes longer.

Well, unlike the 360 controller which comes in two separate flavours; wired or wireless, the PS3 controller can do both. Run it wired if the battery is low, or unplug the cable if it's all charged up. And with a 12 hour lifespan, we shouldn't need yet another add on in the shape of a "plug and charge" pack that the 360 pad has.

I think that Sony has another advantage over Microsoft in this situation.
