Default Using the old dual shock controller

One of the most common questions for the ps3, is if we will be able to use the dual shock controller from the ps2? In order to do this, Sony would have to make an adapter of some kind. I don't think that the old dual shock controllers will be used because the ps3 plays ps2 games, so if you play a ps2 game, you would use the cordless dual shock controller. I mean, if you had to choose, would you choose corded or not corded?

I've seen nothing to suggest old controllers will work on PS3, with the exception of things like the Buzz controllers which are USB.

An adaptor will be released to allow you to copy old game saves to the PS3, but controllers that use the PS1 or 2 plug are history as far as I can tell. That's fine by me.

I do know about the memory card deal. Like I said, I highly doubt that old controlers will work with the ps3. IGN hasn't had time to go over the console or the controller yet, but I iminage that they will before launch time.

There are adaptors that exist that allow you to use the PS2 controllers on a PC via USB. Maybe these could be used on the PS3 for PS2 controller use.

That is true, but I don't see why you would want to go back to the old controller when the new one is a lot better.
