MPI also does work for other studios, like The Red Shoes, Ten Commandments, and African Queen.
Suffice to say, they do fine work.

Throw me in the Sony camp as well. Hard to beat all of the work they have done.

There are also European companies doing film restorations. I don't think many people are cognizant of the companies involved in this market, or for what transfers they are responsible for on Blu-ray.

The work CBS has done on Star Trek: TNG is incomparably amazing, in my opinion.

Don't forget Fotokem, they seem to do the glut of the 8K and 65mm scans, restorations, and work, and a lot of classics with great representations on blu-ray.

It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, South Pacific, North by Northwest, Cleopatra, The Sound of Music, Khartoum, Lawrence of Arabia, Ben-Hur, Jaws, Ghostbusters, Taxi Driver, Touch of Evil, Citizen Kane, American Grafitti, The Towering Inferno, The Bridge on the River Kwai, West Side Story, Raging Bull, Rebel Without a Cause, From Here to Eternity, etc.

Whether they did the totality of all of those restorations or just the scanning or whatnot they deserve some recognition.

I think they're mainly used for scanning in many of those cases. Obviously a crucial part of beginning tthe restoration process, but not the most important.

Pretty sure they had little to do with the bulk of the work on most of those.
They have a unique scanner that's pretty much the only one people use for 65mm.
Personally I think their large format work is hit and miss.
