Question Ps3 Question

I have a quick question for someone who knows alot about Bluray and PS3s. I see alot of people posting movies on the trading forum or the selling forum and some of them say the title of the movie and it says PS3 version. What does that mean? Is it a Bluray? Can it only be played on the PS3 and not any other bluray player? What is the benefit of purchasing a PS3 version movie vs. a regular movie? I know these are all stupid questions but, I am new to BLURAY and Hd and dont know much. So if you can help, please post your answer. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it's not a PS3 game? That would be the only reason to say PS3 version...unless it's Talladegga Nights which came with the first batch of PS3's.

PS3 version refers to video games. There are some video games named the same as their movie.
The PS3 can play all blu-ray movies.

From what I have read the PS3 bundled version looks worse than the retail version.

Surely this no different to the "Plays on PS3" or "PS3 compatible" stickers you sometimes see on the front of regular Blu-ray cases.

If I was selling a Blu-ray movie online I'd make damn sure the description made it crystal clear that it played on both stand alones and PS3.

It educates the uninformed as to the capabilities of their PS3 and increases your potential number of bidders. Two birds with one stone.
