I've had my 60gb since a month after initial release. Back in my big 'folding @ home' days I would leave my PS3 on and running for weeks on end. I have since gotten out of that phase but have never had any problems whatsoever (knock on wood). I had heard a few times that it was made/designed for being left on extended periods of time (like for Folding @ home) but I'm not saying to do so. I've never had any problems though. 6 hours is a no biggie.

Same here I've let mine running for days straight and no problems. You'll be fine just don't make a habit out of it.

Yeah. Man you'll be fine. But if you are worried, you can set up your ps3 to turn off after an hour of non-activity.

6hrs? Your fine thats like 1 gaming session. I have only had mine on for about 12hrs for the longest, but like others have said your fine.
