Default Jackass

Anyone here like Jackass the movie and second one?? Both movies and complete tv show set would be nice on blu ray! I saw Jackass on HBO HD other day and PQ was awesome! I personally like Johnny Knoxville and BAM

I like them both, but don't think I would bother upgrading from DVD on these two... if there is a third, I would buy blu for that.

Upconverted 16x9 dvd is good enough for me. It's shot on DV anyway so it wouldn't look much better on blu ray

I like both movies, but a BD release probably wouldn't be worth it.

Don't know if these would translate well to Blu. I have seen both and own the series, don't know if I would rebuy.

I e-mailed them a few months ago asking if they were gonna start doing blu-ray releases. No surprise I never heard back, but I would like it if they did for their new releases if they can't for the old ones. I know the last movie was shot in widescreen.

And now we have Jackass 3D.
It's fun to revisit old threads...

It would be cool if they released "Jackass: The Movie"
and "Jackass Number Two" on Blu-ray.

RIP Ryan Dunn...

I agree. I love these movies, but don't see where they benefit from an HD release. It's the same reason I haven't done a double dip on the Kevin Smith movies. Awesome movies, just not worthy of HD.

Here are some beautiful tributes to Ryan Dunn and Zachary Hartwell (from members of the Jackass crew) >>>

A song written by Roger Alan Wade (Johnny Knoxville's cousin) as a tribute to Ryan Dunn.

I don’t think it will ever happen but I hope they finally release Jackass the Movie, Jackass Number Two and Jackass 2.5. I’d like to finally retire the DVD’s and have them match the other sequels on the same format. I’ve always been a big fan of these movies and the shows.

I have Jackass 3 on Blu, but it bugs me the first two aren't. I don't think I even have the first two on DVD anyway... I'd have to check that... I'd be happy with all three in one set...

I feel fairly certain that jackass number two was previously unavailable to buy on VUDU, and it might've been flagged as SD only as well. In any case, I looked today and you can now not only purchase the theatrical cut, but you can do so in HD.

The stunt footage is hit-and-miss -- some of it looks decent and I think gains something from the upgrade, some of it looks awful regardless. The traditionally filmed material from the bookends looks fantastic. Wouldn't shock me to hear that Paramount is preparing a Blu-ray edition to promote jackass 4 later this year.
