Default 1080p = Not Really 1080p?

So, are they saying that the human eye is not capable of seeing true 1080p resolution?

heh I must be an alien because at my sitting distance 2160p starts to look really good

Great pic.

Yes, more important is how far you sit from your HDTV.
Even at full resolution your eye won't pick out any more detail than 720p is you sit too far away.

Try the link in my sig and you might be surprised how close you have to sit to that 40" 1080p set.

For that screen to look big for me I'd have to sit at about 3'+ for non Scope movies and 2.5' fo Scope ones
