Incorrect. This is probably the BEST of the pinky violence film and one of the most important if not the most important ones. I don't think I've ever pre-ordered something more quickly.

Also, here is the cover since the OG post doesn't have it

Interesting. Seems too modern to me for the type of film it is. I was always partial to the Japan Shock DVD release on the rght. It came with a nice set of lobby cards too if you are in to that sort of thing. I actually find the Neon cover only marginally better than the Discotek incarnation which Ive never been a big fan of. But i didn’t pre-order a couple copies for the pretty pics on this one. Can’t wait to see how it looks with the restoration..

I've been trying to place my order at Diabolik for a good 15minutes now, but I keep running into a Captcha issue after selecting my payment and clicking place order. It says captcha is required, but I already did that and there is no other place to check.

I imagine you resolved the issue. If not it's the same price on the Cauldron site and you could just order there instead.

I wouldn't go quite that far -- the "Female Prisoner Scorpion" cycle with Meiko Kaji is, I think, even better and more significant -- but it's definitely a good 'un. I haven't watched it in a number of years, but one thing I definitely remember is how incredibly morally bleak and nihilistic it is. The heroine is scarcely any less harsh or heartless than the bad guys. I felt like I needed to give my soul a good scrubbing afterwards. (This is not a criticism.)

Those are more important for sure, but never felt like those were Pinky Violence films as they never had that sleaze factor and felt more like a traditional revenge stories similar to something like Lady Snowblood even though there is some nudity. Either way, I agree with you if those really are Pinky Violence films.

Oh, there's no question the "Scorpion" films are considered part of the Toei Pinky Violence cycle. Every authority I've ever seen includes them, including this Japanese volume, which I'm pretty sure remains the definitive tome on the subject:

Zero Woman is definitely my favourite Pinky Violence film along with Terrifying Girls' High School: Lynch Law Classroom.
I've recently seen HD copies of the Rica Trilogy. It would be great if all the Pinky Violence films are the next big popular releasing trend after the massive influx of martial arts releases.

Yes, this is one of the absolute best alongside Female Prisoner Scorpion: Jailhouse 41, Criminal Woman: Killing Melody and Bohachi Bushido: Code of the Forgotten Eight. And not just by Pinky Violence standards but any standards. It’s stunningly stylish, unbelievably violent, darkly humoristic, comes with a fantastic score and has one of the most badass action climaxes (particularly the car chase) in 70s cinema. And of course it’s probably Miki Sugimoto’s best role.

It’s also sleep-proof, as personally tested by me five years ago when I first viewed a Toho action double (Bullet Terror and Blood & Diamonds) followed by a Teruo Ishii all night (Inferno of Torture, Horrors of Malformed Men, Bohachi Bushido, Karate Inferno), then about 4 hours of sleep in a capsule hotel and back to the theatre for Zero Woman and Sex & Fury. All in 35mm of course. Did not feel sleepy at all!

Oh and I have the original B2 on my wall (warning, slight nudity in the neighbouring Wolfguy poster)

See..the sequels are Just what I want. I have them all (except for 2) and they're not as violent as hand cuffs. Any wild guess's on if and when the sequel's will get a juicy upgrade?
