Default How bad is this TV?

It's similar to my other TV, but I hear people say it's crap. I had a bit of problem with movies looking pixelated, could it be due to this TV?

Don't worry, I didn't pay that price, it only cost me $700 after tax, but I can still return.

I just noticed if a movie wasn't naturally widescreen that faces can look a bit pixelated when zoomed in. I just zoom out on the settings and it's fine - I thought it might have been a TV problem.

Do you think it is the TV? Your post seemed a bit sarcastic, hehe.

Only you can decide if it is worth $700 granted it is better than $1200 but is it really worth $700? Is it what you want? Do you see yourself keeping it or it lasting for 4 or more years? How much do you value PQ and is there a TV in a price range that meets your expectations on quality? If you are having any regrets and are trying to justify keeping it then you have already made up your mind and you may kick yourself if you do not return it. If you are truly happy with it and would rather not have the $700 back either to save or to add to and spend later then keep it. For many $700 is a good amount of money to be spending so make sure you will get at least $700 worth of enjoyment out of it. Only you can decide that based on your personal preference.

EDIT: Do you want 1080p? I ask as this is the Blu-ray forum and blu-ray is all about 1080p.

I wouldn't buy it...it's nothing more than a Daewoo....

Daytek is the Canadian arm of Daewoo electronics. Daewoo's make really crappy TV's...car's...microwaves...well actually there is nothing that they make that is really any good...

I'll keep, if I see a good deal on another TV I will get that as well and move this to my room.
