Default People Are Choosing Blu-Ray Over At CNBC For This Weekend

People are reading and voting in blu-ray's favor. More people plan on buying a blu-ray player instead of a dud player this weekend. Of Course its only one site but i think its a really popular site.http://www.cnbc.com/id/21914057

while that results are good, don't put much weight in them.
Online polls are always heavily artificially skewed by people voting repeatedly, and by those mass advertising the polls on other sites that are in favor of a particular outcome.

I bought another PS3 today. The 40gig version. According to the shop clerk these are selling extremely well. I expect big numbers over the Christmas.

At least this report does no seem biased either way. People though will vote even if they are not going to buy anything, just to see their side winning.

While this is sometimes the problem (i.e., the site allows you to vote repeatedly), the bigger problem statistically is that the poll gets linked to blu-ray sites and hd-dvd sites and everyone rushes over there to vote.

However, I do statistics and I know they are mostly useless (and sometimes harmfully misleading). I think this type of poll is great from the standpoint that it does show intensity of interest in the subject being polled.
