oblivion: shivering isles and g.o,t.y edition

whats the differince between all of them? do i have to have the first one to play these two? i plan on getting this game and wanna know witch is the best version.

1) Oblivion (Standard PS3 release) is Oblivion + Knights of the Nine expansion pack

2) Oblivion "Game of the year" edition also included the Shimmering Isles Expansion

3) The standalone Shimmering Isles is for people who bought 1) and dont wish to buy 2)

SO if you havent purchased any copy of oblivion yet, then the obvious choice is to get game of the year edition. Oh and Oblivion is an amazing game, I have the original PS3 release, and plan on getting Shimmering Isles (although my GF will kill me, she was so sick of me playing Oblivion by the end)

yea thanks so ill be getting the g.o.t.y edition, im pretty sure its amazing game,the funny thing is when i heard of this game a year ago i compleatly blew it off thinking it was going to be stupid and boring,and im a big rpg fan,i dont know how the hell i looked passed it. but then yesterday afternoon while i was reading about ff13 just wating for a great rpg to come out....some great force took over me, and then it hit me like....why in the hell are you not playing oblivion, i felt so stupid how i did'nt care one bit about that game. but whatever the past is the past, i cant wait to get that game and drown my life away it it
