Christian Bale is awesome. Good choice to play John Connor I think. I still hope the Governator makes a cameo appearance in the upcoming terminator movies though, wouldn't be the same without him.

....why are they still making these? #2 should have been the last one, it was awesome. 3 was fun to watch, but "un-did" everything great that #2 did. I can't even imagine what #4 would be like

Another Terminator is a little much, but Christian Bale would probably change my mind about that.

Having Bale suggest's T4 should have a little class and credibility.

4 is to be taking place during the actual futuristic war. I'm looking forward to seeing it as I don't think they can really screw too much up there.

If Bale is in, it would also raise my expectations quite a bit.

As much as I recognize Chistian Bale as a GREAT actor, I still want to see Edward Furlong as John Connor.

Hah, Charlie's Angels McG? The King of cliche and nostalgia?

Well if Christian Bale is confirmed, that means McG's suckiness and Bale's badassness offset, so I might consider checking it out. I just don't see Terminator ever being the same without James Cameron. What can I say? The guy knows how to make a damn good sci-fi flick.

One of my favorite part of the Terminator movies has always been the "future war" scenes. If they make T4 like that, it will ROCK!

Can' wait for January. Terminator: The Sara Conner Chronicles is coming on Fox. Double

From what a gather about the new movie, is it is the first in a trilogy taking place in the future during the war with Skynet. For those who thought they should of stopped at 2, check the Sarah Conner Chronicles series starting in January on FOX. Takes place a few months after T2 ended. Ignores 3 altogether. Say the pilot, it has a lot of potential.

There was so much time span from the time 2 ended to when 3 began, this could all be "filler" leading up to 3. To do it right, that is what should happen. What else would explain why they tried again after failing in T2.

Let's not do the Superman thing where 3 and 4 get completely ignored. That alternate timeline BS is best saved for the Star Trek / Gate series.

Whoa there... I have to disagree on this point. "Superman III" and "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" should not only be COMPLETELY ignored, every copy of those movies on film, VHS, DVD, Blu, DUD, flash/hard drives, and hell even the masters, along with all copies of the script and all of the various drafts, marketing posters, etc.. should be hunted down and destroyed. Not only that, if a process existed where all memory of those two films could be excised from the collective memories of the human conciousness, it should be used.

Arnold could totally do Terminator 4, just CG him like they did Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellan in X3

the terminator flicks back in the day were groundbreaking in CG so they should do the same with 4, and make Arnold look young again

So far, this's what, the third or fourth T4 thread I've seen on the board, and people are STILL acting like it's not going to be the same cheapjack off-topic "carpetbagger" imitation production that T3 was.

(Which it is, in fact, after Carolco went bankrupt, sold the Terminator name to the T3 producers, they went under, and sold the name and the Sarah Connor spinoff to the T4 producers...
What is this thing, cursed?)
