Default Looking for a New TV. Need some Input Please

I've been thinking about to upgrade to 1080p for a while now, Bestbuy currently have no interest until Jan. 2011 so it seem like a good time to buy.

I don't want to go any bigger than a 50"

They have a LG - 47" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV Model: 47LC7DF currently on sale for $1499.99 which seems like a good deal.

I want to pick a TV that will last a while, so I guess my questions are as follows.

Does anyone have or know about this TV?
What are the Pros and Cons?
What TV would you recommend over this one and why?

Currently I have a Philips - Ambilight 37" 720p/1080i Flat-Panel LCD, Sorry i don't have the model # off hand. It's been a great TV, but would like 1080p and something a little Bigger.

I'm looking forward to reading your replies.
