Apple TV+'s "Shrinking" (Season 1) - Blu-ray Forum

Surprised no one is talking about this. Ford's series debut.

The Warner Bros. Television-produced Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives…including his own.

Ford, who is joining Shrinking after lengthy negotiations, will play Dr. Phil Rhodes, a down-to earth, sharp as a tack “blue collar shrink,” blunt but with an ever present twinkle. Phil is a pioneer in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy who has built a successful practice over the years that he shares with his two young proteges, Jimmy and Gaby. Fiercely independent, Phil has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, which forces him out of his comfort zone as he grapples with intrusive friends, his estranged family and his legacy.

High hopes for this given Segel’s involvement. Dispatches from Elsewhere was one of the best shows in the past decade and The End of the Tour is such an underseen gem.

Missed this when the thread was started 3 months ago, but I'll definitely check this out whenever it finally drops. Almost too much talent for it to suck, and Ted Lasso is fantastic.

Looks like the trailer was trying to be funny multiple times, but I didn't find any of it particularly funny, imo.

I'll watch it for Harrison Ford.

Watched the first two. Gotta say, I kinda loved it. Segel & Ford were both excellent, & it was nice to see Christa Miller again. Great soundtrack too.

Looking forward to the rest.

Oh, Christa Miller is in it? I love her! I guess I should have realized since this is a Bill Lawrence production lol. I will be watching the 2 episodes tonight.

I really liked the first two episodes. They have done a good job in allowing all the characters to have their moments.
Definitely sticking with this one.

Just finished the first two. Man, *LOVED* it. Absolutely loved it. Typical Lawrence: filled with great music and tons of characters that are all insanely likable in their own way. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

This is really good. Great late-career role for Harrison Ford. Very different from his usual characters.

I think new episodes come out on Thursday nights. Maybe it's Friday.
