The advantages of Bi-Amp'ing is to reduce the effects that driving a high power large woofer (10-12-15") has on the distortion of the low power small drivers (mid-range & tweeters) connected to the same amp.

Also, Bi-Amp'ing means the dampening factor for the large woofer is not reduced by the series inductor in the passive crossover.

While I have no experience with the C/L/R 2002 and its previsions for Bi-Amp'ing - in the big scheme of surround sound and total sound stage - as with most effects speakers, the C/L/R 2002 only has a couple of 5-1/4 low frequency drivers that would provide little advantage for the extra effort and expense of adding a 2-way electronic crossover and additional amplifier to Bi-Amp the center channel.

I have no intentions of adding an additional amp, only to use the two channels which aren't in use (6/7). It is set up so that you can use the additional channels to bi amp the l/r channels. i already have the sub in my 7002s active via lfe. but thought i could bi-amp the center channel.
